What is FAFSA?

FAFSA is the application for Federal Student Aid, the largest provider of financial aid for college in the U.S.

 

How do I access FAFSA?

Use this link: www.studentaid.govYou will need to login with your FSA ID. On this website you can access FAFSA, Entrance Counseling/Exit Counseling & Master Promissory Note.

 

My FAFSA says I need my taxes and/or W2. Where would I access that?

Use this link: Get Transcript | Internal Revenue Service (irs.gov)You will be able to access your tax record there.

Are there any resources to help me with this process?

Yes! We have a workshop each term to review FAFSA exit counseling. This will be posted on our Events page. Search for “Exit Counseling Workshop for FAFSA Loan Graduates”. If you have the old link and you see an old date it should be updated soon.

 

What is CAADA?

CAADA is the application for a California state grant for any student that does not qualify for federal aid. Students who may qualify for CAADA include – California residents, students that completed at least 3 years of high school in California AND graduated OR students that completed 2 years of college and have a high school diploma.

How do I access CAADA?

Use this link: CA Dream Act Application. This page will review important details about the CA Dream Act and how to apply. You can also sign in here if you’re a returning user.

What dates should I be aware of for CAADA?

The CAADA deadline is March 2nd each year. Your GPA verification must also be submitted to CSAC by the deadline. Your GPA will need to be submitted by your high school OR a previous college you attended where you have completed at least 24 credits.
