The course covers anatomical terminology, familiarizing students with major body systems, organs, and their locations. Students also learn how to build medical words using combining forms, roots, prefixes, and suffixes. The course takes a systems-based approach, delving into various body systems and associated medical terms, diseases, conditions, and treatments. Students also become proficient in understanding and utilizing common medical abbreviations and symbols. Additionally, specialized areas like pharmacology, radiology, pathology, or laboratory procedures may be covered. Emphasis is placed on effective medical documentation and communication skills.
